Well, the transformer did not arrive on Tuesday. The earliest predicted arrival would be Friday, or possibly next Monday. I had been limping along with enough electric to run the frig, computer, and fantastic fan, but that was about it. I ran the generator in the afternoon since the temps rose to 90. Then that electric went out last night. I immediately called Dean, the owner, and he said he was working on it. I guess you could say that I was a little hot under the collar. So was he, as it turned out, as he was up a pole trying to do a fix when I called. Hot words were exchanged on both sides, and eventually I had enough electricity for everything except the AC.
Pam and Stan were scheduled to arrive early this afternoon, and they did. I told them to forget about staying on my site, and we chose another one on the other side of the campground for them to use. After they got set up, we made plans for dinner. Tonight Pam would cook, tomorrow it will be me.
Just before dinner time, Dean showed up at my sight to apologize for his harsh words last night. He did admit that none of this was my fault. Really?? Anyway, he told me he would be running a new electrical line to my site from a different transformer. He also offered to replace all of the gas that it has taken me to run the generator. We’ll see how both of those things go. I’m not holding my breath, but I am hopeful.
After dinner at Pam and Stan’s, she came by my place with George during his walk. George is a smooth collie from a collie rescue group near Pam’s home. They have had him several years. Of course, Emma wanted to play, but George was not interested.
They have another dog, Mitzi. She is a corgi, and is under the weather at the moment. Stan may take her to a local vet tomorrow.
I’m glad they’re here for a one week visit. I just wish they weren’t on the other side of the park. Hopefully, things will improve electrically.
Thanks for stopping by… talk to you later, Judy
The collie is a beautiful dog!
ReplyDeleteI think everyone seems to be running on a short fuse when the weather gets hot and things go wrong. Hopefully it will all be resolved soon.
Gee, it's beginning to sound like our broken spring issue. But at least we have air conditioning in the heat. That collie is beautiful. Hang in there. It all has to end sometime.
ReplyDeleteur AC here at the house is not working very well. We don't turn it on everyday, and when we do we turn it off as soon as the evening cool rolls in. But when it is running I don't think it is throwing as much cool air as it should. We had it recharged last year, and the tech said that there might be a leak somewhere. Estimated repair $1200+
ReplyDeletethe patience of a saint girl ~ you have it!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope he gets you hooked up to electric soon!!
ReplyDeleteI wish for you cooler temperatures, fixed electrical connection, or BOTH!
ReplyDeletesure hope the electric issues are solved soon!!..try and stay cool!!!
ReplyDeleteGeorge is a good looking dog!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the electrical saga.
At least Dean was good enough to "man up" and apologize..That is NOT an easy thing for men to do...That George has a nose almost as long as mine!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is one of those situations that you wish you had made a different decision somewhere earlier in the process, but every day you keep thinking "It will turn around any time now," and still, it doesn't! Good, luck, dear!
ReplyDeleteThat George is a handsome boy! And I hope Mitzi is back on the healthy path soon. My five send her get well woofs.
You have so much more patience than we would ever have...one of the reasons we love having our home on wheels...if it's not working and you can't fix it...we are out of here!
ReplyDeleteGood luck and we hope you get some relief soon!
Sure hope you get some cooler weather or better electrical power. What a nightmare.
ReplyDeleteGeorge is a nice looking dog. Too bad he doesn't want to play.
I think you have been more then tolerant!!!! He nees to reimburse you for your gas to say the least! Glad your friends arrived safely.
ReplyDeleteHave fun & Travel safe
Donna
Sorry to hear your problems persist. Beautiful dog. Rusty seems to want to play with every dog we meet, but he is so wild, they don't know how to take him. Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteHappy to read and enjoy your blog again! We got Verizon so will not rely on WIFI only. Best wishes
ReplyDeleteso how many people are inconveinced by this transformer? Or is it just you?
ReplyDeleteWhy haven't you moved to the other side of the park too??
ReplyDeleteSorry the electrical power is still a problem! It does seem that Dean is frustrated as well, 'cause it's his name that is on the line. It does seem like he is trying and want to be of service to you. Good luck and enjoy the visit.
