Ladies and Gentlemen of all ages!!! Welcome to the Judy and Emma (formerly known as Barnum and Bailey) Three Ring Circus!!
In the first ring, we have the incredible shrinking customer service of Universal Marine and RV of Rochester, MN! After numerous calls and inquiries, I have received not one message about my license plates or title after two months. Luckily, a local super woman, and friend, has stepped up to do battle for me with this elusive enemy. She will bug the crap out of them until this issue is resolved . Watch out Universal, SJ3 has your number!
And in ring number 2, we have the astoundingly magical entry stairs with a mind of their own! Even though the switch is set for the stairs to be constantly out on the rig, they have chosen to retract whenever the mood strikes them. This provides lots of audience excitement as the owner steps out into space with her faithful dog behind her! (It is a little hard on the heart of the owner :)) Perhaps someone will give her a parachute!
And last, but not least, we have in ring number 3 an unusual wildlife (?) exhibition. Picture this: Emma is quietly enjoying the evening air on her lead tethered to the picnic table. She suddenly starts barking, and her hair is on end! I try to fly out of the motorhome to quiet her, but must cling to the hand rail at the top of the steps waiting for them to eject. The cattle in the meadow begin making unusual noises. As I finally grab Emma's lead, I notice a fox running through the meadow next to the fence. I'm transported back to an old John Wayne movie as the cattle, in unison, begin a stampede! Interesting thing is that they are chasing after the fox! I'm sure that vixen made it back to her kits with another meal of ground squirrel, and the cattle went back to grazing. Just another day in the life of a fulltime circus. :)
Thanks for stopping by....talk to you later, Judy
I HAD THE TIME RIGHT BUT I HAD THE DAY WRONG

Wow! sounds like one of those dreams where you are hoping to wake up soon. :))
ReplyDeleteWhere can I buy a ticket? That sounds like a show I'd like to see, at least the third ring!
ReplyDeletePass the cotton candy...

Hi JUDY
ReplyDeleteYou are enjoying the every moment of your life. And all of your circus point are effective for life scenario.
Travels of the Mind
As Ringmaster, you may have to crack the whip harder in Ring 1, troubleshoot your 'random step act' in Ring 2, & hurredley sign up the Fox, Squirrel, & Cow act in Ring 3 to a long term contract:))
ReplyDeleteThat step problem sounds like a case of water in one of the switches, on the steps, sometimes automatic, and electric powered isn't as good as the old manual step. You will have to find some neighbor that is good with a meter to help you on this one, sounds like the dealer wouldn't be a sound idea with a used MH that needs that kind of repair.Especially whne he isn't forthcoming with your title and plates. I like your spirit though, Give em Hell Judy. Be safe out there, Sam & Donna.
ReplyDeleteVery well written!! Hope you resolve ring 1 and 2 very soon.
ReplyDeleteSome times our steps do not open when they should, we have just gotten in the habit of always looking down before stepping. But it is hard to train a dog to do that, though I am sure Emma is a very smart dog.
Wow! my circus has left town and now I know where it went!!!
ReplyDeleteThings will improve real soon, I just know it!
Stay Safe
Oh my..a three ring circus it is!!..but bad things only happen in threes so you must be done!!..
ReplyDeleteWow! Who would have thought a circus at your campground and even at your site!!!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Al...you might have to get that new Ringmaster to really crack the whip. They are required to send you a tag and title aren't they? I mean its a law isn't it?
Those steps sound dangerous so please be careful.
That animal show can be so darn unpredictable but hey, the show can be different everyday.
All kidding aside...keep at them on the tag and title and get those stairs fixed...don't want you hurt.

Have you thought of writing to the woman at Good Sam magazine (I think it's G.S.) who troubleshoots problems with RV dealers, repair services, etc.? O a call to the B.B.B.? I think that's the worst problem on your list - can't believe the nerve of some companies to treat customers like that.
ReplyDeleteI guess the steps could be worse though. Why is it that I'm hearing more and more about automatic steps that don't work, automatic jacks that don't work, slides that quit working at the worst possible time. And this is with relatively new RV's.
Hope you get it all straightened out soon. Be careful stepping out into space.
Thinks for bringing the giggles to my coffee this morning. You ROCK Judy! Emma too of course.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing how many problems there can be in this "simple" life. I hope you can resolve yours soon. I still wouldn't give up a minute of it for the old life :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
I love hearing about your full time circus! And soon all three will right themselves... well, at least the first two. The goofy cows chasing a fox, well, that could be a new twist to the food chain? Carnivorous bovines now hunting down their meals instead of peaceful grazing?
