I'd like to thank all of you for your suggestions about my camera. I tried all of them, but nothing worked. I even tracked down a new battery in West Yellowstone. That didn't work either. So, it was back to the drawing board.
I've decided to drive to the nearest Best Buy store, in Idaho Falls, tomorrow morning. I've been thinking of purchasing a second camera for quite some time, so now seems like the opportune moment. I also hope they can tell me where I can get my present camera fixed. We'll see what happens.
I spent the afternoon working on the computer trying to figure out what tours I might be interested in taking at the ports of call on the cruise I'll be taking next November. Pam has decided to go on the cruise with me, so we corroborated on the tours.
It has been very unseasonably cold and wet here in Idaho, and I'm tired of putting on three layers of clothes just to be sort of warm. It is June, after all. :( That's about it for today from this windy, cold, and damp location. Bah Humbug!
Thanks for stopping by....talk to you later, Judy

Sorry to hear your camera got the chop, I have been looking at the Canon Eos, sometimes Wally World will have a sale and knock $100 dollars off which brings it down close to $400. with a nice lens. My neice has one and she hasn't had any trouble for a couple of years and lots of use. I know Nikkons are the big dog, but they are really up there in price and Canon appears to be coming up in popularity. back in the film days I had two Pentax SLR's which could not be beat for quality. I guess I will have to donate them to a museum.Try to stay warm, summer will catch up with you & Emma. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna.
ReplyDeleteJudy--send your camera into the Canon company--you can fill out the forms online, they send you an estimate, it works really well, I have done it!
ReplyDeleteCold and rainy? Hmmm. Maybe we will target September for Yellowstone when we actually get on the road.
