A good day for planning a trip

Well, it's been raining off and on all day.  The temps have been around sixty, so it hasn't been too awful.  After doing the laundry this morning, I got an email from my sister, Pam, about our upcoming trip together.  She has never been to Yellowstone National Park, so I had suggested that as a destination for the beginning of June.

Fellow Escapees, Gordan and Juanita Pierce, have highly recommended the Red Rock RV Park in Idaho as a base to explore Yellowstone.  Tomorrow, we'll make some reservations there.  It's a twenty mile ride from the western entrance to the park, and is located up near the mountains.  It should be gorgeous, and hopefully we won't have snow.  :)

It was an enjoyable chore to begin planning for this joint venture.  I have always enjoyed Yellowstone, and I'm sure Pam and Stan will be impressed as well.  We will leave together from my son's house in Kasson, MN, on Memorial Day.  Pam and Stan are not full timers, so our pace will be a little faster than I've become used to.  Pam just recently retired, so I'm hoping she'll feel a little more relaxed on this trip.  We both like sight seeing, so it will be a treat for me to have companions to share the views with.

On the mundane side, I gathered all my federal income tax info today, and got it ready to send off to my tax preparer.  I hope to get it in the mail tomorrow.  Wouldn't it be wonderful if I got a refund for a change?  I'm not holding my breathe, however.

There's not much else to report on this dreary Sunday.

Thanks for stopping by....talk to you later,  Judy
