Just a short update tonight. After the much appreciated help of four fellow volunteers, I successfully got moved to Okefenokee Pastimes Campground yesterday. I couldn’t have done it without them. It’s only 30 amp here, but I’ve lived with that before so it shouldn’t be any problem.
I’m afraid I kind of over did it with all the moving chores yesterday, and suffered today. The workampers here volunteered to take Emma for two walks today, and I took them up on it. They are very nice people.
Along about 4:00 pm, I got a call from my brother that he had arrived after driving 2039 miles in the last three days.
Yes, Nurse Ratchet has arrived!

I have a brother but I don't think he'd make a very good Nurse Ratchet. Yours looks much better. Glad you're moved and settled again even though you're in pain. Hope you're relaxing and catching up tonight.

ReplyDeleteThe only other person I know that would drive that far in 3 days is Paul Dahl. Your brother must love you a lot. I hope he's able to recover from that trip before starting his nursing duties :)

ReplyDeleteJudy, hoping you are doing well after your surgery. Thinking you are out from under the anesthesia by now. Probably be tough the first few days, but stay on your pain meds regularly as that gives your body a chance to heal without fighting the pain (so they told me after knee replacement) Thinking about you and wishing you well. Also hoping they feed you good!
