Shooting the breeze

IMG_2796
Can you guess who stopped by my humble abode today for a visit?  It was Lady, and she brought her human, GYPSY, with her!  Both Emma and I were thrilled.  Marty and I have been reading each others blogs and corresponding for a couple of years now.  It’s always so nice to meet other bloggers in person, and I was especially excited about meeting these two in person.  The weather even cooperated with much lower humidity today so we could enjoy our time together outside.

Gypsy began her cross country journey from New York to California a couple of days ago, and I am very pleased that she took the time to detour a bit for our visit.  Talk about a chin wag!  Oh my, we did talk!  Both being solo ladies gives us a lot in common.  As her blogger name implies, she has a true love of travel.  I was also impressed with Lady.  The name fits her as well.  She was so laid back while Emma was going berserk and wanting to play.

I had made a good sized bowl of macaroni/chicken salad for our lunch that we were able to enjoy out at the picnic table.  It’s another one of those dishes that’s hard to make for one.  Gypsy understood that, and made sure she helped me out so I wouldn’t have so many leftovers.  Rolling on the floor laughing

Rest assured, among our topics of discussion we spoke at length about quite a few of you others in the RV blogging community.  Were your ears burning today?  It’s kind of like talking about your neighbors in a small town.  Some people might say we were gossiping, but not me; oh no; certainly not…

I was just interrupted by a phone call from Brown & Brown RV in Bourbonnais, IL.  After waiting two months, it seems all the parts are in to get the repairs done on the motorhome.  Yahoo!  By this time next week, I’ll have a working awning and a new cargo door on the rig.  I guess I’d better get busy and call Dean, the campground owner, so he can get the new electrical wires buried before I pull out on Monday to go get repaired.  Right now, the cables run on top of the ground just behind the rig.  What a good news day!

                                                                      THE END!  :)

Thanks for stopping by… talk to you later,  Judy

  3. Hey, Judy and Gypsy...On my trip west last year, I stopped at a little campground in Hot Springs, Arkansas, where there were FOUR of solo women! Two class Cs, a 5th wheeler, and my trailer. I got to know one of the ladies who hailed from Casper WY (we became instant, intimate friends when I had trouble with my black tank and she was next door). I stopped to see her on the way home from the west coast, and we camped together in Nebraska. I've been hoping to see her come east ever since. One day, maybe.

  10. Levonne and I gossip a bit about other blogger when we get together. It is not "mean" talk, just comparing thoughts on what some of the others are doing.

  12. How nice for her to stop by and visit. I also admire you two solo ladies. I'm impressed! I'd never find my way because I'm severely "directionally Challenged."

Glad to hear the parts finally arrived. Hopefully the repairs will go smoothly and quickly.
