Ugh!

There have only been two days in the 4 1/2 years that I’ve been on the road that I physically felt like crap.  Today was day number two!  I spent a good share of the day lying down on the couch covered with blankets.  I just couldn’t get warm, and my belly was giving me fits.  You know how it is when even the hairs on your arms ache?  Well, that was me today.

I’m sure Emma has no idea what’s going on.  I was able to take her out several times for short airings today, but that’s it.  You know something is wrong when I watch football all afternoon.  Of course, the Bears lost.  I’ll probably even suffer through the Steelers’ game tonight since my oldest son is a big fan of the Steelers.

I was hoping RICK could tell me why I suddenly can’t get my header picture to fill the screen as I’ve always done before?  Is this a Blogger glitch at the moment?

I hope I feel better tomorrow so I can go grocery shopping and maybe visit the Tabasco factory.  That’s it for tonight.  I’m going to try to get a little soup down.  :(

Thanks for stopping by…. talk to you later,  Judy

  2. Oh, I'm sorry to hear you're feeling sicky-icky. I hope this is short lived, but *don't* push yourself. I've heard of many people who aren't rebounding after illness as they normally do, enough to make me think it is something in the air for this year. Don't over do, even if you *think* you're feeling better.

Sending healing hugs your direction. :)

  3. Ohhhh if I was closer, I would bring you chicken soup and nyquil to knock you out! I had that danged flu, started the same way too. Steve got over his in 2 days, mine took 4 and I am still coughing.

Best wishes for a fast recovery!

  6. I had that same thing....my header photo was small ...Dennis showed me that I was needing to "add a gadget"...and choose photo....then it straightened out...but you may need Rick or Al to help you out..NOT ME....Hope you are feeling 100% soon...Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup and some couch time is what I would suggest....Hope you are feeling better soon....(dogs know when we are sick...)

  9. Hope you feel better soon. I don't know which would be worse, being sick when alone, (no one to take care of you) or to be sick when alone (no one to bother you.)

    Sleep long and warm.

  10. I have the opposite problem - my header picture is huge and I can't get it to the right size. So I just gave up and you get to look at a huge picture of the girls.

I certainly hope you are 3 million percent better in the morning.

  13. Hope you are feeling better soon. Sounds like what I had a few weeks ago and it only lasted 24 hours and I felt better.

As for the header pics, Blogger does seem to be having a real problem with correctly sizing them. The same thing happened to Paulette's blog and I've seen it on a lot of others too. For some reason all header pics are sized to 400 x 300.

The workaround for now, is to do what Donna suggested and just add a 'picture gadget' at the top of your blog and 'remove the current image' from your header. That seems to work o.k.

  15. I might feel a little ill too if I thought I was on my way to visit a Tabasco factory. I don't know how people can eat stuff like that.

I generally have a bit of a 'go round' with my header picture everytime I change it too & that's probably why I don't change my header a lot. It's a bit of a dipsy doodle process. I do know that when you go to your Blogger Dashboard & click on Design & then the Edit tab on your header pic you have to remove the present pic. Then, if I remember correctly your next menu will have a space showing you the size of your header pic & you can change this number to make your pic fit your header frame. I was going to check that number for you but to do so I would have to remove my header pic to get to that menu. Don't know what your number is but I would maybe start with a ballpark number like 800 & see if that makes your pic bigger or smaller. This may or may not be the type of problem your having............

  19. Sure hope you are feeling better today. You will love the Tabasco tour.
My header does the same thing sometimes, and I always figure blogspot is doing something, so I just wait a day and try again. These little glitches are a pain in the ass, but just part of the price we pay for using it free.
Get an electric blanket. They feel so good when you can't get warm.

  22. Well, gee. Sorry to hear you're punky today. Be good to yourself and don't push activity even if you think you are better. I do hope it's a short-lived "bug" and that you're more chipper tomorrow. Let Emma take care you for a change! Nothing like a nice nap with a dog. Had one myself just the other day. :)
