Just as I published tonight’s post, a severe storm hit the area.
Emma and I hunkered down as the rain and hail hit. She was shaking like a leaf.
The sirens were screaming, but there was no tornado shelter at this park.
After the twenty minute onslaught, we stepped outside to get some photos.
We weathered the storm, thankfully, but it was a little scary! :) The power of nature continues to amaze me.
Thanks for stopping by….talk to you later, Judy
I am so glad that you and Emma are safe! You took some amazing photos. I hope that you've seen the end of that storm system. And congratulations on making a safe journey through Dallas!
ReplyDeleteAmazing photos!! nature never ceases to amaze me either! ;-)
ReplyDeleteStay safe!
Wow! So glad you and Emma are safe! Boise is starting to look pretty good to me!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos but sorry that you had to endure such a scary storm. Glad you and Emma are OK.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, maybe a little snow isn't so bad.
ReplyDeleteThe storm pictures are fantastic, but I don' think I'd want to go through what you had to endure. And the trip around Dallas is never easy no matter where you're coming from or where you are headed.
ReplyDeleteBe careful in those storms!
WOW...those are some really scary clouds swirling around there! I'd be shaking a little too. Stay safe, snug and warm.
ReplyDeleteWhat absolutely awesome photos. I love your blog it's the first one I read but please be careful with this crazy weather. We live in the Ozarks and tornado warnings are never fun.
ReplyDeleteI love those photos but I am sure glad I did not have to suffer that storm. Very happy that you are both safe. Hope that was the end of it.
ReplyDeleteHoly Hanna, glad you are okay!!!
ReplyDeleteWOW
Sure glad your storm is over with. We've been sitting here with tornado warnings and severe thunderstorms and they're supposed to last most of the night. That means I won't get much sleep tonight.
ReplyDeleteHoly Storm Chaser, Batman! That was a wicked bunch of clouds! But I can just see you now, with camera in hand, anxious to catch the glory of the moment thru your lens.
ReplyDeleteI learned the hard way that everything's bigger in Texas the first time I experienced hail the size of softballs.
Glad you made it thru! Breathtaking photos. K
I'd be happy if things were just a bit less exciting! :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear there was no damage. Great pictures!
ReplyDeleteYikes! You've been in my thoughts this evening! Glad you and Emma are okay! Now I'm wondering if there are more storms for tonight. Duck and cover! Any hail damage?
ReplyDeleteHoly Cow! It just keeps happening with you and Emma doesn't it!? I think someone awhile back suggested you writing a book?
ReplyDeleteWe made it home in some wind today ourselves; no storms like yours though!! Glad you didn't get blown back to Oklahoma!!!
WOWZER~!! What a storm!
ReplyDeleteGlad you and Emma are safe and sound---

ReplyDeleteWow. Spectacular photos. I am glad that you and Emma are safe. Who was shaking the most?
ReplyDeleteGood Grief! How scary! But the storm sure produced some gorgeous skys for beautiful photos. They are simply unbeliveable.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you and Emma are okay and hope you are sleeping safe right now.

I love pictures of storm clouds, and yours are exceptional. I especially like the header.
ReplyDeleteDid your weather radio warn you guys of the storm's approach,After last years RV Park tragedies, we keep our going 24-7 in the rig. I'm sure Emma felt safe cuddled next to you. Be safe out there.
ReplyDeleteBe careful driving today as the winds will be blowing more than usual.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures of the storm clouds.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the invite to the Gator Capitol...Not sure if we are going to be near Houston this year..We are spending some time in Louisiana, and then the Hill Country...who knows...But thanks again for the invite!!!!
Welcome to TX!! At least your not in Kansas anymore! Glad you made it.
ReplyDeleteI heard about those storms on TV this morning. Be careful!
ReplyDeleteGlad you made it through that storm alright! No damage to the rig, I hope. Gorgeous cloud formations there. I'd say that's a fine reward for enduring the wrath of that system.
ReplyDeleteOh My.. Sure are glad you didn't have any damage. Poor little Emma.. You two have really been put through it lately. Maybe all the roads will be paved with gold from here on in. The pictures are just beautiful...
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are stunning! What some people will go through to get the perfect shot! :-)
ReplyDeleteAfter reading this post, the new Toby Keith song "Trailerhood" is going through my head...
"...When the storm starts getting bad
You hear those sirens humming
Grab a six pack and a lawn chair
There's a tornado coming...."
Stay safe!
Well, by the time I got here everything has been said:))
ReplyDeleteThere is a vault (yep, a bank vault) in the office building behind us. That's our storm shelter in case things "go south" here.
ReplyDeleteYou've never had a tamale?!?!?! Lady, you just haven't lived! :)
SO glad you didnt get hit hard...Love these storm clouds!
