Dreary Sunday

When I awoke this morning it was raining, and that continued for several hours.  So, the trip to Steens Mountain had to be cancelled.  That left me with the excitement of doing the laundry.  :)

Suzanne, another volunteer, and I did take a couple mile walk this afternoon as the wind blasted away.  Earlier, my neighbor, Judd, showed me where and how to refill the leveler fluid.  It took about 12 oz. to reach the proper level.  I’m good to go until the next time the fluid leaks out.  Of course, my first priority when leaving here will be to get that system fixed.

The highlight of the day was the potluck that most of the volunteers attended.  There was more than enough food, and plenty of good conversation.  As we were eating, the rains returned, but at least the winds have died down.

That’s about it for excitement on this dreary day.  It’s back to work in the VC for my last week tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by….talk to you later,  Judy

  1. A pot-luck dinner is pretty exciting as well as being pretty good most of the time. Hope the weather improves for your last week!

  8. At least it wasn't an outdoor picnic pot luck!

Good food and friendly people are a nice combination on a dreary day.
