Quick post from Barcelona, Spain.

What a long two days this has been!  This post will be very short, and have no pictures.  Both my sister and I have been up for 32 hours straight as the overnight flight to Barcelona was not conducive to either one of us getting any sleep.  :(  Because of the difference of six hours from the time zone in Texas, we arrived here this morning at 8:00 a.m., and had to go through customs, etc., before we could head to our hotel.  After we got settled in the room, and got a bite to eat for lunch, we headed straight out on a five mile hike around the city to see what sights we could.  It was a great day (once we got here), but we are beat!

I also only have one hour of battery time left on the computer.  So even though wifi comes with the room, I can’t take advantage of it for long because of the European electrical hookups.  That’s something that never entered my mind when getting ready for this trip.  I’m hoping to have regular hookups once we get on the ship this Sunday.  :)

Thanks for stopping by….talk to you later,  Judy

  3. Pretty hard to rest & sleep in a new place. So much to see & so little time to see it all before the cruise probably.

  5. You are doing it right if you stay up until evening in Spain, as you will get your system on that time zone a lot faster. You might want to see if you can find a converter for your electronics - they shouldn't be too expensive and are well worth having when you are a world traveler! Have a great time.

  6. Judy:
Most laptop power cords can take 100-240 volts. You should be able to just get an adapter. depending on the cruise line, they may even have US outlets onboard.

The big problem on the ships is usually they charge for the WI-FI and it is not cheap.

Either a plug adapter or inexpensive transformer will keep the computer fully charged up.
    Have a great trip.

  7. Hope you and your sister are having a ball, just look for an adapter and make sure the local voltage is 110-120volts, most tourist areas are. Those little round receptacles are strange.Be safe out there. Sam & Donna.

  9. Ask the front desk they should have an adaptor they can lend you. The ship will have 110 outlets.

  10. I read once that adaptors and chargers and things like that are often left behind in hotels. Ask the front desk like it has been suggested. On the boat~don't have a clue! But best of luck!!

You are runnin' on pure adrenaline now gf!! Go Go Go...

  12. Can't wait to see your pics. Any electronics or photo store will sell the proper adapter to allow you to charge the batteries.

  13. Have a blast. And like it was suggested, try to stay up till night time so you get on that time zone sooner. That is what we did when we went to Holland - though it was kinda hard to get a baby to change his schedule but we finally did. Have fun!
