I think I only have one nerve left!

You know how sometimes things just get on your last nerve?  Well, if I’m lucky I have one nerve left.  First there have been all the repair challenges, then this morning the storm’s blew in.  I decided to sit it out in Guthrie rather than drive in the deluge.  Weather is something I have no control over so it didn’t bother me too much.

I decided to use the day to set up the printer and do my “Online Check in Procedures” for my upcoming cruise.  Everything moved along smoothly until I went to print my boarding pass.  It wouldn’t print.  I spent hours resetting and trying again to no avail.  This is a brand new printer, and all I can get is the first few lines of a page printed!  I’m so frustrated I could spit!

(I just may do that.  I bet you didn’t know that I am a really good spitter!  It’s one of the important things I taught my kids.  You don’t want to be a wimpy spitter with drool running down your chin.)

Well, after that little rant I’m feeling a little better.  I’ve emailed my sister and asked her to print my boarding pass since we’ll be roommates.  Of course, that doesn’t mean she’ll do it.  :)

Ah, well, I’d better move on before I get cranky about something else tonight.

Thanks for stopping by….talk to you later,  Judy

  1. Dog gone it, Judy!!! You have every right to be a little cranky. Enough already! We are still keeping positive thoughts for you and hope you will be safely back in Texas soon. Hang in there! John and Ann

  2. My youngest son taught his niece, my g'daughter Ara, how to spit properly when she was a little girl. She excels at it. Someone has taught the little one, Arianna, because she's on her way to becoming a first class spitter as well. If I tried that my mother would come back from the grave to castigate me, lol.

  3. Judy, I hadn't been keeping up. I had linked into your site originally from someone's blog and it kept taking me to the same page and I thought you hadn't blogged for awhile. Today I noticed ther was an October tab and posts in it. Sometimes I can be so dumb!! I changed the bookmark so it takes me to the current page. Just when I think I am tech savye this computer humbles me again.

  5. I don't know how to spit but I sure know how to whistle on my fingers. Works well for letting Cliff know that supper is ready!!

  6. Good grief! You sure have been having your share of bad luck lately. Sometimes this computer/phone/printer stuff can really tick you off, can't it? I always say I have a love - hate relationship with my laptop. Hope things get better for you soon.

  7. arrggghhhhh I hear ya!~

Did you try shutting it all down and then restarting it all over again, including the computer? Sometimes that can help?

  8. You must have a couple of nerves left or we would have been reading about the pieces of printer scattered around the coach.

  9. I probably haven't spit 10 times in my whole life. No wonder I get cranky once & awhile. If I could get a couple good goobers going I could probably release some of this pent up cranky stress I have been carrying around for too long. Now, to get that printer working properly you must exit & run around your rig 6 times in the pouring rain all the while shouting nasty single syllable expletives at the top of your voice in Latin Arabic. Trust me.....once you have completed this mission, the printer will be the least of your worries:))

  10. I feel for you! My wireless printer which worked perfectly prior to moving it into the rig now prints streaks, like blurring the colors or something. Not everywhere but randomly. Just enough to make me nuts! (Or nuttier, as the case may be!!)

  11. Maybe it's a good thing that you and your sister will be going on a cruise. I think you need a break from your motorhome and all its challenges. When you get back, maybe (hopefully!) things will go smoothly for a while.

  12. My dear, you definitely deserve some R&R...I would have been curled up in the fetal position with Emma by now...probably drooling...And I sure wouldn't know the first thing about hooking up a printer..!!!!You are my hero!

  14. My printer spit out your boarding pass with no problem. That will be $.05 please.
As ever, your accommodating sister, Pam.

  15. If it had been me, the machine might have ended up in the ditch!!! Maybe I need to learn how to spit. You think??? Stay safe.

  16. Taking a page from all the single gals out there I am determined to set up my new laptop ON MY OWN! Craig has signed me up for "one on one" classes at the apple store and I have one year of free help sessions if I need them.

It's a long story as to why I am only user of computers, maybe I'll blog about it, but I am determined to become more self sufficient.

You are a good example. Even when it comes to asking your sister to print your pass for you. You solved the problem, didn't you!

  17. You know, I had this problem recently as well, with Princess, and it actualy was the web site. Eventually we were able to print our boarding passes just fine, but I thought it was me and it wasn't! Maybe wait a bit and try again. I will be curious if your sister can actually print it.
