Murphy still has my number!

Dang it!  The part came in today, but was for regular brakes, not hydraulic brakes.  As you know, I’m not very familiar with mechanical things, so as I understand it the needed part is to be able to ‘bleed’ the brakes so they won’t go out on me as I’m traveling down the road.  Anyway, the point is that the correct part has been reordered and is due to arrive on Monday.  That means another weekend in the parking lot.  I’m sure you’re getting as tired of this as I am, but none of you volunteered to take Murphy off my back, so it is what it is.

As you can see, I decided to haul out my rocker, and reinstall the extended stay propane tank.  It’s just too hot to sit inside the rig in the afternoon.

I called my sister, Pam, today, and she and Stanley are camping at Chain O’ Lakes State Park in Illinois this weekend.  I’m thinking Emma and I may just go up there to visit them tomorrow.  It’s a 90 mile drive, but it’s got to be better than sitting out the day in the rig, once again.  I’m hoping the traffic won’t be so bad through Chicago since it’s a weekend.  We’ll just have to see.  I’m sure Emma would enjoy seeing her boyfriend, George, too.  Smile  Poor George, he just doesn’t know what to do with all of her wild enthusiasm!

Thanks for stopping by… talk to you later,  Judy

  2. Why does that not surprise me! Has there been any other occupied rigs around these long weeks?

  3. So maybe you should write a book, "Parking Lots of America". Seems to me it was about this time of year that you settled into a parking lot in Idaho.

  4. I'm not sure what part they've ordered wrong for you, makes you wonder how they stay in business. Hope that this will finally be the very last part you need.

90 miles will be worth the distraction from your parking lot campground. I hope your weekend is fun.

  5. Hit the road kiddo! Take Emma and enjoy. I can't figure out why the suppliers do not read the purchase orders! They glance at the order and ship whatever. We have been there and done that. I'd say come on down....but your sis is closer. Oliver would love to meet Emma...

  7. Keep the faith, Judy. Better to make sure that the job is done correctly no matter how inconvenient. Give Murphy a good kick in the rear! Pats to Emma.

  11. Say, do you suppose you get get yourself on a 'no call list' so that Murphy character would stop calling and leave you alone. Have you thought of pressing charges for harrassment!! How about getting a gag order issued so that Murphy guy can't come within 500 feet of you.

  13. If there were just a little more intrigue surrounding this story, it could be a prime time reality series. You need to get voted off the parking lot!!

So sorry you are stuck for yet another weekend.

  15. ARE YOU FRIGGING KIDDING ME?

You do have the patience of a Saint...there is no way I could have or would have been able to take it all as understanding as you have. As my mother use to say, "There would have been some heads rolling on this one!"

You without a doubt win the all time patience award...

  17. As I read the title of the post, I'm thinking, oh no, not again, won't she ever get to leave? I'd definitely load up Emma and go somewhere, anywhere, just to get away for awhile.
