I’m getting antsy!

Okay, in another couple of days I will have been in this parking lot for two weeks.  I’m glad I was in a safe place to recuperate, but now I’m ready to get moving on.  I really do hope the shades are delivered tomorrow so they can be installed on Wednesday.  I know, patience is a virtue.  I’m working on that.  Thinking smile

Here’s a pic of the current drapes that will be eliminated.  I hate keeping them closed most of the day to keep the sun’s rays out.  I like being able to see out my windows.  The new solar shades should allow me to see outside, and keep the heat down through the windshield.  I know lots of people that keep their front shades drawn all the time, but I’m not one of them.  It makes me feel like I’m living in a cave.  (sorry DONNA Smile)

Being in the deep south, the temperature and the humidity continue to climb as time moves on.  It hasn’t been absolutely awful yet, but I’m sure it’s coming.  Emma and I have been spending most of our time inside the rig until late afternoon.  And I’ve got to tell you that when we go outside to sit, there isn’t much that’s new around here.

I did find this little lizard crawling around this afternoon, but even he stayed under the office trailer out of the sun.

After the work of the weed whacker guy a week ago, this is the first little flower to emerge.  The fly seems to be thrilled, also.  If the shades arrive tomorrow, I’ll be singing Zippety-Doo-Dah!  I’ve got my fingers crossed.

Thanks for stopping by…. talk to you later,  Judy

  2. I, too, dislike having to pull the curtains across the windshield. Hope you enjoy your new shades. We really like our Magne Shade. Congratulations on being mentioned on Gypsy Journal's blog! Well deserved.

  3. I hated that stupid curtain we had. We got ours replaced in Elkhart and even though it was expensive, I think it was one of the best investments we've made. I love the solar shade and then at night the other shades make it so nobody can see in.

  5. Never liked our surround hound curtains either. We have solar shades now which block the sun's rays & still allow us full visibility outside.

  7. I'm with you on the curtins, the only time I close them is at night otherwise they are open first thing in the morning.

  9. The solar shades are great ... I couldn't sit inside the motorhome with drawn curtains for any length of time.

  11. You would LOVE our "Cave"..Our house is very open and we have large windows all over our home.We have never drawn a curtain closed...and we don't have central air conditioning..There always seems to be a breeze.
Glad you are getting antsy...that means you are about "up to snuff"..and ready to roll!

  13. We still have a the original inside curtains for the front windows but have the outside mounted sunshade that works good for us. Keeps the heat out, lets us see out but also provides some privacy during the day.

I am looking forward to a video of you singing Zippety-Doo-Dah!

  14. Seems like every one of these places is the same. Their motto should be "Hurry Up And Wait". Hope you can get out of there soon. Which route are you taking to get to Northern Indiana?
