Webs of intrigue

Today dawned with a heavy fog encasing the refuge.

The water laden atmosphere made visible a myriad of intriguing webs.

I’m sure these spider webs are always there, but are invisible to my eye under normal circumstances.

Such intricate designs magically appeared this morning as Emma and I made our first rounds.

Mother nature never ceases to amaze me!  And I’m sure these spiders don’t worry about whether or not they put in 32 or 24 hours of work a week.  It is a matter of life or death for them.  It’s all about priorities.

    Nice webs. They are usualy visible in early morning after a heavy dew with the sun's low angle on the horizon shining it's rays through the dew drops giving them a luminous look & making them easier to see. We especially see a lot of them in late September & early October when the night's begin to cool.

    Love your site! These pictures remind me that the wonders of nature are all around us if we just take the time to look.

    They also made me feel very guilty about spraying the spider in my bathroom yesterday!

    We had that happen in Falcon Lake TX one dewey morning..I got a great shot of one huge web with the giant spider in it..YIKES!..Funny what we DON'T realize is right before our eyes on a sunny day!! Great pics!

    Ho, ho!! We just had some surprise snow in the Canary Islands this week. That is very late in the season so plenty of people were out taking photos of the event. Back to better weather now though.
