I don't think there is anything wrong with a sluggish-day. Our water froze in the ground this time and Donnie has been working on it all morning. Texas is just not protected for this type of situation, so they leave their water pipes above ground. That doesn't work in below freezing weather. Hood, and friends had a cabin at Cannon Beach, Oregon. Lots of those slugs at both places. Cruel as kids can be, we'd get a salt shaker and salt their backs, just to watch them writhe. Seldom think to take pictures of slugs, but I do have a great picture of a Giant Mesquite Bug. In 1976 I walked half way across the Ohio River - didn't go all the way because I had 3 little kidswith me, and the ice became really choppy in the middle of the river. I have fond memories of dressing everyone up warm and snug, and going out in it.Gypsyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18052445200220681513noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7774004683471521654.post-81272343737967618082011-02-02T20:35:57.153-06:002011-02-02T20:35:57.153-06:00Awww shucks, being a slug some days ain't so b...Awww shucks, being a slug some days ain't so bad.
