Do sit at the end of the table, though, so as to have good access to the servers. Their chicken fried steak is so big I get 3-4 meals from it. Their fried potatoes with onions, one of their pass-arounds, is one of my favorite foods. It feels weird but they really do encourage you to take way more food than you can eat so you can take a big box of it home with you. Of course you then need to refrigerate that so plan ahead.Linda Sandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12734450335251336493noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7774004683471521654.post-87707549825240581182011-10-20T09:49:40.680-05:002011-10-20T09:49:40.680-05:00Wise move to stay put...we were in Tennessee and d...Wise move to stay put...we were in Tennessee and decided to come on home since it started raining the night before and we got hit with some strong winds. My poor husband fought it most of the way home. It's kinda scary to be going down the road and all of a sudden be hit with a gust of wind. Makes me want to get a bigger rig cause I've heard the wind doesn't move them around as much. I10 was closed for 5 days, trucks were going nowhere due to the heavy ice and cold temps. I just put all our stuff outside on the table and did lose a little bit. The RV resort had a spare refrig where I could store the frozen stuff. Fast forward a few weeks, the new refrigerator died and we had just made a Costco run and we were in Tucson with temps in the 80's!!! Friends stored some stuff, we went to Lowe's and bought a small upright refrigerator/freezer and put it where the washer/dryer spot was. You will enjoy the trip to Lamberts, however. We just passed by there on Monday, but it was the wrong time of day to stop. We spent our first night out in Springfield, MO, where it poured rain and turned cold, but we had to stop there to have our vehicle looked at when the engine light came on halfway through MO. It was an easy fix, fortunately, and tonight we are at Enchanted Trails RV Park & Trading Post in Albuquerque, NM, hoping to arrive in Phoenix tomorrow afternoon. Here's hoping things start to look up for you soon, Judy!Marthanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7774004683471521654.post-15706203701351626402011-10-19T19:38:41.663-05:002011-10-19T19:38:41.663-05:00Take plenty of appetite with you to Lambert's,...Take plenty of appetite with you to Lambert's, you won't be sorry.John Hedgeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07775467781360772348noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7774004683471521654.post-57821295626710866912011-10-19T19:30:47.365-05:002011-10-19T19:30:47.365-05:00Hey, we have spent some time in Sikeston, summer o...Hey, we have spent some time in Sikeston, summer of 2010 and then Jan/Feb this year. A few years back when we were driving down to San Diego for the Christmas week, Craig decided to turn the power off to the house to save a bit of electricity. He always turns the furnace off and drains the water to avoid freezing, so this time he decided to add the electric service.

We were about 1/2 hour from home when we started talking about what we had to do on arrival. that is when he told me he had turned off the power. WHAT? That means both the refrigerators were off for six days!

PEW I had a messy bunch of defrosted and unrefrigerated food to toss.

Not a saving!

Craig usually doesn't do things like that.Merikayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05378095339747943548noreply@blogger.com
